Developers Housemarque have announced that Road of Devastation, a new Dead Nation DLC is now available for PlayStation 3. In addition to the range of enemies and weapons from the original game, Road of Devastation offers an array of new tools and equipment to dispatch your undead enemies with, while introducing new foes and obstacles encountered in the unique new environments.
“After the initial release of the game, we talked with Sony and made a unique arrangement to bring the DLC to the market. We funded the development and Sony published the additional content,” says Housemarque CEO Ilari Kuittinen. “We certainly hope that our fans will appreciate our efforts as we think ‘Road of Devastation’ DLC offers hours of fun for both veteran and novice Dead Nation players.”
To mark the release of this new DLC pack, Housemarque has released a trailer which can be viewed below.
Technically not specifically zombie related, but we love the post-apocalyptic feel to this 2012 Chevy Super Bowl Commercial. A man drives his Chevy Silverado through an apocalyptic world predicted by the Mayan calendar. Unfortunately, not everyone makes it to the meeting point.
I love this photo – it is a Victorian grave with a cage around it. Built during a period where people were supposedly afraid of reanimation in corpses, the logical solution was to construct an iron cage around the grave to prevent the zombie from escaping!
Unfortunately this is pretty far from the truth and our Victorian ancestors were in fact more worried about pesky grave robbers exhuming the corpse of their dead relative and harvesting it for science and any valuables it may be buried with..
