Super8 is a monster movie from 2012, directed by JJ Abrams, produced by Steven Spielberg, and is about a group of kids who are caught up in a military experiment gone wrong. During the film the kids are trying to make a zombie movie for a competition, and I’d say that this short film is in fact better than the movie itself! Check it out.

Cop a load of this…some amazing puppet fabrication and illustration from UK based animator and illustrator Ben Whitehouse. It’s always good to see these traditional skills being kept going. A big thumbs up from us here at Zombie Uppercut. You can see more of Ben’s amazing work right here.
This is Sam Raimi’s incredible horror masterpiece Evil Dead recreated in 60 Seconds by Gigi Saul Guerrero, Luke Bramley, and Raynor Shima for the Vancouver Fake Film Festival.

Check out this new indie zombie film (debuting at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival) by Jon Hurst called When The Zombies Come.
It’s a documentary-style film that tracks the activities of several hardware store employees who have put their boredom to one side and very carefully put together some awesome (and funny) zombie action plans. The quote about using old people zombies for target practice was both hilarious and worryingly indicative of how well thought out their plans are for when the zombies come.

While we are waiting for Epsiode 2 of Trott The Zombie, have a look at the fun a small group of Zombies can have on a sunny day in London.
Obviously this is one of the more unrealistic posts here on Zombie Uppercut – it’s never sunny in London.
This is brilliant! The whole plot of the awesome zombie movie 28 Days Later has been summed up in this fan video in one continuous take lasting just one minute.
Because there can never be enough low budget British zombie films in the world. The main theme from the film was a little too grim, so we made a few changes…
I like this a whole lot. ‘Origins’ is the first in a series of 8 short episodes of Trott The Zombie.
Not a whole lot of other information is given, but for a youtube webisode this looks very promising.
Effects, acting, sound design and direction seem to be very well executed. So, I am really looking forward to Episode 2 (out in December).
Given that it’s Halloween you might be worried about the number of zombies that’ll be wandering around. Fret not as this fan made video will show you how to make it through Halloween with your brain intact.
Why is this on here I hear you cry, this is a zombie blog, not a blog about freaking politics. Well fret ye not my zombie fans, press play and see what Joss has to say (I didn’t intend that to rhyme, but it did, that’s just the way I roll).
In light of this summer’s London Olympics, it wouldn’t be fair to not include zombies in their own special event – here it is, the Zombie Olympics 2012!
